FISHING LOG
Dec 20th
Even the snow couldn't keep us off the river on saturday.
We hooked 3 and landed this steelhead.
Dec 13th
We caught this steelhead, but unfortunately it was a native so we had to release it.
Nov 30th
Today we got these 2 nice steelhead.
Nov 28th
We went out crabbing out of Astoria with good friends. Got each of our limits.
Nov 16th
I took Saturday the 15th off to go clamming in Long Beach, but killed the Sturgeon at Bonneville on Sunday. We limited the boat sunday and caught 2 oversize. We brought home 3 keepers, but caught 8 total. It was an amazing day.
Nov 8th and 9th
This weekend we caught 1 keeper (52") and 2 oversize saturday and on sunday and 2 keepers(45" and 49") and fought 2 oversize...
Nov 1st
Saturday we took the kids out to catch some sturgeon. They had a great day we caught 2 just over 60 inches so we had to throw them back. But we definately didn't leave the river empty handed. We limited out the boat with a 58, 51, 47, and a 45.
Also many shackers. So these boys definately had some fun!!!

We went out this sunday and got a 45 and a 47 and 1 oversize
Oct 17 - 18
It was a beautiful day out on the Columbia friday. It was the perfect day for fishing. We caught some very nice sized sturgeon near the Bonneville Dam.
Friday we got a 59 3/4", 56", and 47".
Saturday was alittle slower, but we got a 47".
Oct 11 and 12
This weekend we got 7 keepers and 2 oversize sturgeon. 58", 54", 48", two 47" 's, and two 44" 's.

Today was a rainy windy day at the Bonneville Dam, but fishing was all in all a good we got 2.
Oct 2, 2008 
Today we went to the Bonneville Dam and limited ou the boat by 12:00. We got a 59", 56", 50" 47", and a 46" and we had 1 over-size sturgeon.
Sept 27 and 28th
Saturday we got this
59" Sturgeon and Sunday we got a 56", 54", 47", and 44". and broke 2 off.
Sept 21 and 22
This weekend we got 1 silver on Saturday and hooked many small sturgeon. Sunday we hooked 3 salmon got 1.
Sept 7 and 8
This weekend was an awesome time to be out on the Columbia catching Salmon.
Saturday we went 5 for 9. Taking home 1 Steelhead, 1 Silver, and 3 Chinook.
Sunday we got 4. 2 Silvers and 2 Chinook. Wendy got her first Salmon this weekend and is hooked. She showed us all up by catching 3 of the 4 sunday!!!
August 17th
We decided to try Astoria again today. We hooked up with 8 Salmon landing 6 kept 4.
August 16
Today we will be fishing Bouy 10. Reports are that the Salmon are coming in strong so we thought we would try our luck today and take home our share. Well we hooked up with a few today, but only got to take home this 1. But we will be trying again tomorrow.

August 14 and 15th
We fished near Bonneville dam and caught some nice oversize. Got most of them to jump multiple times 1 even tried jumping and hit the bottom of the boat.
July 26th and 27th
Saturday we went to Bonneville Dam and fished for Steelhead and got 2 beautiful fish and then Sunday we went 5 for 7 and got to take home 3 nice Steelhead.

Today we side drifted the Lewis and got this beautiful steelhead.
July 4th weekend
This weekend we spent at Ilwaco, WA. We crabbed alittle, but due to the bad weather and closed bar we could only go out one day catching 6 crabs, we got alot of little ones that we had to through back so that we can get them next year.

The last day that WDFW allowed us to keep chinook salmon we got 1 and 1 Steelhead.
June 20, 21, and 22nd
We had a great weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather out on the Columbia River near Beacon Rock.
June 15th
Fathers Day we enjoyed the beautiful weather out on the Columbia River near Beacon Rock. We got lots of shakers today and a fatty sturgeon. It was 47" and put up 1 heck of a fight. We then slid out of the middle of the Columbia to fish for Shad. We wore out the arms of the kid on the boat Sunday. For his first time shad fishing he caught on really fast and showed up the adults catching most of the shad.
June 8th
well we didn't get any video today, but we did get pictures of sturgeon kissing!!! (44" keeper)
June 7th
We got 4 Oversize Sturgeon today and we will be out again in the 8th video taping some of our fights!!!
June 1st we hooked many oversize sturgeon and with the shad numbers we are catching our share of fresh bait.
Memorial Day Weekend
This weekend we fished for oversize sturgeon. We hooked up with a few of these amazing fish up near Bonneville Dam on saturday. 
May 10th and 11th
Drano Lake was awesome this weekend. We got 2 on Saturday and 3 Sunday afternoon. Reports for May 12th showed 4600 Salmon over Bonneville Dam. With these numbers holding strong this weekend will be amazing and with the weather in the 80's it's going to be beautiful.
Drano Lake is turning on. With the numbers of Springers rising over the Dam. Reports are that these Springers are definately biting and we are going to catch our share. Thursday I will be there scouting for the hot spots and I will make updates to my Log when I get back.
May 4, 2008
This weekend we fished saturday at the mouth of the Lewis getting 1 Springer, but unfortunately a sealion got ahold of it before we could get it in the boat. We got other nibbles, but with the sealions out the fish were not biting enough to get hooked.
We then went to Long Beach for some great clam digging on Sunday. There was 3 of us and we all got our limits. Now its time to enjoy some amazing homeade clam chowder and clam fritters. MMM MMM MMM!!!

Looks like the Salmon runs over the Bonneville Dam are beginning to grow. According to the WDFW the 29th of April had the biggest numbers of the year so far at 6659 salmon counted going over. This is going to make Drano Lake and the Wind River turn on.
April 25th
Fished the mouth of the Lewis today. We got 2 nice fish and hooked 5. Maybe the bite is starting to turn on at the Lewis!
April 20th
We decided to try our luck again out of Washougal and got 3 beautiful Spring Salmon. 
This was the last day that WDFW allowed the Columbia to be open for Salmon fishing. So we are now going to try our luck on the Lewis River, Drano Lake, and Willamette River.

APRIL 11, 12, AND 13TH
This weekend Springer fishing was on fire at the I5 bridge. We trolled all weekend getting 4 friday,4 saturday, and 5 sunday.
3-30-2008
This weekend was on fire. Friday we limited the boat with 3 nice Springers within 3.5 hrs. We started about 7 am and got all three by 10:30.
Saturday was the Fisherman's Dual Derby
We chose to go after Springer's for this derby and took 6th out of about 150 boats. I would say thats an amazing day. We got 4 averaging 8 to 14 lbs.
Sunday morning we got up and went out for the last day of the weekend. We picked up 1 before calling it a day. It was about 12 lbs.

Springers are pushing their way through the Columbia we fished all weekend from up by Washougal to Portco near Jantzen Beach. We got some nice fish this weekend. Definately worth spending the day in the wind and rain.

Springer's are definately coming through the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. Sunday was a beautiful day to be out trolling on the river we picked up 1 out of Jantzen Beach and saw many more caught from the boats around us. Also other guides/friends fishing out of Washougal said it was hot.

Currently on the Willamette River Springer fishing is starting to pick up. With the Columbia River opening up on the 16th of March these tasty Springers have no where to hide...
...We are still picking up some Sturgeon on the Willamette.
