We spent a couple hours on the Willamette before Thanksgiving Dinner, but we only got shakers. A couple of them where close at 36" but we had to release them so we can catch them again next year.

We got lots of shakers today and a couple that where really close but unfortunatelt too small to keep, had to throw them back so we can catch them next year.

We didnt get any fish today, but we where able to get 3 people from a car that went into the Lewis...

We got 4 nice hatchery steelhead on saturday and 1 hatchery steelhead and 2 natives on sunday.

Decided to take the weekend off and went crabbing and bottom fishing.

Oversize sturgeon fishing. We hooked 3 and got 1.

Saturday - Drano Lake we got these 2 beautiful Springers

We got 2 keepers today and 1 oversize
Everyone involved with this event had a great time and i'm looking forward to next year.

We fished for Salmon and Sturgeon today. We got this Spring Salmon first thing in the morning on the Columbia then headed for the willamette for sturgeon fishing and hooked lots of shakers and a couple that where just a bit to small...

We took 2nd in the Big Fish Catagory with this 51" Sturgeon weighing 34lb 6oz

Fishermans Derby/Hawgs-N-Dogs 17th annual derby
We took 1st place in the derby!!! with a 19.55 lb and 12.5 lb. Dave took big fish in the Derby.

We enjoyed a beautiful day on the Columbia. We got 2 nice Springers 18lb and 21lb.

Sturgeon Derby 2009
We weighed in the top 10 for 1 team and #24 for my 2nd team.
All the fish lined up for weigh-in for the 2009 Joe's Sturgeon Derby!!!
March 6th:
Today we prefished for the Joes Derby tomorrow we got this Massive 53" along with 6 other keepers ranging from 43"-48"
Feb 27th:
We out this morning with a couple guys we got 1 keeper (43") and about 40 shakers we also broke off acouple nice size fish while we where fighting them to the boat.
Feb 21st:
Today we got 2 keepers tons of shakers and a couple oversize. Unfortunately I forgot the camera.
Then after a great day firshing the willamette we went Smelt dipping!!!

It was an amazing day to be out on the Willamette. We limited out early with these 4

It was a beautiful day to be out on the river. We got this big oversize and 2 nice keepers along with many shakers. And the massive sturgeon above was just over the new length regulations, it would have been nice to keep this one. We definately got our workout for the day!!!
January 31st:
Saturday we got out there early and luckily it paid off. We got 2 keepers and many shakers, the two we kept where a 39'' and 41'' from nose to fork of tail. When we got off the river the fish and game checker was there and we where the first to check in with him on saturday with fish - approximately 30 boats before us - so the guys where pretty excited to get these 2...
January 24th:
Tried out the Willamette today. We got a lot of shakers, but unfortunately no keeper sturgeon with the new size regulations. Very close ones... The bite is definately starting to turn on and it seems like this year will be a promising one on the Willamette!!!
January 17th:
The Washougal is finally clearing up after the flooding from the past couple weeks. Drifted this morning and hooked 4.
January 4th:
I will be fishing the Washougal on the 4th and will update the log with how we do, the water is very high and dirty...

We Sturgeon fished on the Willamette River. We got 1 keeper and lots of shakers. The weather was pretty crappy out there today.
